International Ballet Stars Detroit Theatre reviews
What a performance!
1. The singing was amazing and the stage props and dresses/costumes were beautiful, I absolutely loved it!
2. The effect of the crystal chandelier being raised and almost dropped on the audience was amazing, the pyrotechnics did make my husband almost jump out of his seat a couple of times, but other than that it was great.
3. This was my very first Opera and I was less than pleased with the seating, I had a hard time seeing the stage due to the heads in front of me.
4. Other venues in Houston have much more comfortable seating, the seats were way too small and too far off to the side.
5. This is a spooky and sad love story that I do not recommend you take your children to, my kids, 9 and 11, were away at summer camp.
6. I was pleased with how quickly the ladies line to the restroom moved during intermission, there must have been at least 100 stalls!
7. I can't wait to see another International Ballet Stars, this was also my first time in the Hobby Center.
